Stop # 6 was in Mitchell, SD. We stayed at the Lake Mitchell Campground… It was nice but they really cram a lot of RV’s in one campground. It did have a really pretty beach area and chapel, but there were a few too many people there for our liking. After doing laundry and pulling (literally pulling) Cooper off the playground we biked down to the Corn Palace! There were quite a few billboards for this attraction and there is “only one in the world” so we made sure to stop by. It was not quite as a-maize-ing we were expecting but it did make for some fun pictures. We also successfully got the kids in bed in time for Adam and I to eat a relaxing fireside meal before dark! That does not mean that we ate early, it did not get dark until around 10:30 last night, some long days here. We are now on our way to Keystone, SD. We plan on spending 2 days here so that we can see Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and hopefully drive through the Badlands. Good news: Mariah’s fever broke! She seems to be feeling much better today! Thanks for the prayers!
I love Corn Palace! My parents took us there as kiddos. Tacky, yet fun!
