Stop #4 Goodfield, IL

Stop # 4 was in Goodfield, IL at a Jellystone Campground.  We would grade this campground as a "C."  For an RV park geared toward kids the playgrounds were not very good and we thought there might be a kiddie pool, but Cooper still managed to have a good time and was able to burn some energy.  Mariah got her first experience swimming and seemed to love it!  We have also had to reconfigure our sleeping arrangements in the RV.  We now have gone to using the pack n' play for Mariah, which means in the 8 x 4ft space that is our "open" area we now have a pack n' play and a 40" dog bed with a 65lb dog at night...  We feel like monkeys trying to get around...  I'm sure it would be very entertaining to watch.  We are now in the great plains, America's bread basket, corn to be seen for miles around...  That's about it.  Not much going on here, so we are back on the road with a destination of Clear Lake, Iowa today.  For those interested, we drove until the tank was almost empty yesterday so this morning along with our coffee we also purchased from Shell $180 in gas...  RV living is not for the cheap!

  1. Angela! I am so excited to read your blog! It looks like you guys are naturals at this RVing stuff. I miss you and can't wait to read more. Hi to Adam and a big kiss and hug for Cooper, Mariah, and Ponzi (maybe just a hug for him)! Love, Katie

  2. Sounds like you're having fun! We used to lower the kitchen table at night and put the pack and play up there for Thomas!
