Bears!

We went out in search of bears yesterday and found them!!!  They were much more interested in all of the salmon than the people taking their pictures!

Worthington Glacier

We made it!  We finally got to touch a glacier!  Worthington Glacier was beautiful and much easier to get to at this spot than the one we attempted last time:)  Enjoy the pictures!

First Fishing Trip!

Our first family fishing trip was a success!  By local standards only catching one salmon is pretty sad, but since we had no idea what we were doing, we were pretty happy!  We are so happy to have Grammie here visiting.  We did so much her first day that the rest of her visit may feel a little boring:)  It was such a beautiful day and I am so happy we were able to take advantage of it.  We owe this one to the Coast Guard moral department for having an awesome boat for us to rent for the day!

There are a lot of Salmon in Valdez!!  Now we just need some fishing poles:)

Hiking to see a glacier!

We had a fun day!  We attempted to touch a glacier:)  We got very close but ended up on the wrong side of a steep ravine.  It would have probably been doable if it were just Adam and I but with a 10 month old strapped to my back and Adam having to carry Cooper most of the way, we just weren't going to make it:(  We got close and it was fun!  For our family that counts:)  Enjoy the pictures!

The moon looked beautiful last night as it came up and over the mountains across the street from our home!  It is finally getting darker a little earlier here.  This picture was taken a little after 10 pm last night.  Enjoy!
